Alignus has successfully completed baseline survey for 1965 respondents in Nagpur district in Mahrashtra state to support Grameen Foundation for Social Impact in their digital financial literacy project implementation. Alignus has conducted the baseline survey in Saoner, Hingana, Ramtek, and Umred talukas of Nagpur District in partnership with the Grameen Foundation for Social Impact in record time of 20 days with the team of 23 persons.

Alignus developed a mobile app for conducting survey by using Open Data Kit (ODK) suite of tools. ODK tools were used to prepare digital questionnaire to conduct the survey in both online and offline modes. Data collection form was developed in both English and Marathi languages with the facility to change the language while capturing the data.  It helped in intense monitoring of data collection process and gathering of data.

Survey app captured the survey data in offline mode and it was sent to our ODK Aggregate server over internet. ODK Collect app provides very easy interface for capturing data with features including skip logic (jump on specific question on a given condition).

Pilot survey, training of team, quality assurance, cleaning of data were other important components of the project.
